Officium is a custom enterprise platform designed to digitalize and centralize waste-management operations. Built as an internal solution for a company specializing in waste collection and logistics, Officium streamlines everything from work-order creation and field operations to documentation and reporting.

Intro

Officium is a fully integrated digital platform created to transform how waste-management companies organize, track, and execute their day-to-day operations. Developed as a complete in-house enterprise solution, the system connects office staff, field workers, and operational logistics into a single, unified environment.

Prior to Officium, operational data was scattered across different tools, formats, and paper-based processes. To solve this, the company needed a robust platform that consolidates all workflow elements - from client management and work orders to on-site waste collection, vehicle tracking, photo documentation, signatures, and automated PDF reports. The final solution consists of a mobile application for field workers, a powerful admin web application for office operations, and a central GraphQL API that synchronizes all data in real-time.

Nordit was responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of the Officium platform. This included UX/UI guidance, backend and frontend development, mobile development, DevOps, API architecture, database modeling, documentation design, client consultations, and continuous support. The goal was to create a complete digital ecosystem capable of replacing legacy processes and elevating operational efficiency.

Project goals

The initial goal was to create a centralized system that eliminates scattered documentation and manual processes. Before Officium, work orders existed across spreadsheets, messages, paper forms, and standalone documents. The platform needed to unify and digitalize all operations into one intuitive system to simplify planning, execution, and reporting for waste-management logistics.

Officium consolidates all documentation, processes, and field operations into a unified, easy-to-use digital platform - replacing fragmented workflows and significantly improving operational efficiency.

Mobile application - designed for real field conditions, allowing workers to complete tasks quickly and error-free. Features include QR scanning, photo upload, client signatures, offline support, and on-site waste entry.

Admin panel - a powerful dashboard enabling complete oversight of clients, vehicles, workers, waste types, and work orders. Includes advanced lists, filters, statistics, and PDF report generation.

Backend API and infrastructure - based on Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud hosting. Provides secure authentication, role-based permissions, PDF generation, automated processes, and background workers.
