EUDoctor is a healthcare platform dedicated to revolutionizing medical access across the Europe. Committed to providing reliable and convenient doctor consultations, EUDoctor aims to simplify the interaction between patients and medical practitioners.

Recognizing the drawbacks of traditional healthcare systems, EUDoctor found a better way to connect patients with care, transcending the usual constraints of location and time. They aimed to create an innovative mobile and web-based application facilitating seamless video consultations with English-speaking EU doctors. Through these video call consultations, patients could receive prescriptions and sick notes within 15 minutes. EUDoctor strived to build trust between patients and doctors, ensuring top-notch service delivery while making medical care convenient and affordable.

We were tasked with not just software development but also helping to develop a perfect digital business plan and embraced the challenge of building EUDoctor's platform. In this venture, Nordit played a multifaceted role, contributing expertise in UX/design, backend and frontend development, web and mobile development, content generation, and digital marketing strategies.

The objective was to create a holistic solution that would attract many users, and users would gladly stay with the platform.

Project goals

Per the customer's request, the initial project goals were to develop a mobile application alongside a basic single-page web presentation, and that idea formed a path to the first phase.
Guided by our's expertise and insights, we proactively suggested and implemented solutions to elevate the web component from a simple presentation to a comprehensive solution. This strategic shift was aimed at enhancing user experience and satisfaction by introducing a wealth of informative content. The evolution expanded the web interface, incorporating additional sections and features. A notable addition was the inclusion of a blog section, strategically designed not only to enrich content but also to boost the platform's search engine optimization (SEO).

The project involved developing a comprehensive mobile and web-based application, with services including business strategy, UX/UI design, and digital marketing. Initially focused on a mobile app and basic web presentation, the scope expanded to include a robust web solution with enhanced user experience and SEO-driven content. Technologies used included Figma, NestJS, NextJS, React Native, and PostgreSQL.

In the project's next phase, another suggestion ended up refining the web application to mirror the mobile application's functionalities while introducing additional features. This pivotal stage aimed at achieving parity between the web and mobile interfaces, ensuring a seamless and consistent user experience across both platforms. The primary focus was on integrating functionalities present in the mobile application into the web interface, making it easier for users to use the platform and not be dependant on mobile solution only. From that point, whether users are using the mobile or web app, they can easily talk to a doctor and get help!

Software development objectives - the software development team dedicated their efforts to employing React Native, Next.js, Nest.js, and Postgres to bring EUDoctor's vision to life. The team of software experts used advanced technology to make the apps work really well. This included intuitive user interfaces for both mobile and web applications, ensuring the best user experience for patients seeking medical consultations. The team focused on creating a robust backend infrastructure that supported secure data transmission and storage while enabling real-time video consultations.Through iterative development and strict QA (quality assurance), the team created a reliable, high-performance software solution that would redefine telemedicine accessibility and functionality across Europe.

Additionally, the integration of Stripe as a payment provider played a crucial role. With various payment options, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, this made it easier for patients to book services, enhancing the overall user experience and convenience.

Leveraging machine learning and predictive analysis, the platform projected a steady monthly growth rate of 18.7%. These predictions indicate a trajectory where the platform is anticipated to surpass 2000 monthly appointments within the next two years, and that are just a pessimistic predictions.

Such projections not only forecast the platform's self-sustainability but also its pivotal role in providing crucial medical assistance to patients globally.

The achievements within the first 24 months, despite budget constraints, showcase promising engagement and growth trajectories.
